Who is George Pompilio Photography?
We are a boutique wedding photography studio built around a simple idea: every couple deserves a hands-on, personalized experience from start to finish. When you reach out, you're not getting passed off to a team—you’re speaking directly with the owner George Pompilio who’ll be by your side on the big day, capturing it all. We take on a limited number of weddings each year to make sure every couple is prioritized and supported.
Wedding coverage starts at $3,000, but most of our couples invest between $4,000 and $5,000 to suit their wedding day needs.
How Much Should A Wedding Photographer Cost?
Wedding Photography Pricing In New Jersey, Long Island & New York City

Wedding photography is more than a service—it’s an investment in how one of life’s most important days will be remembered. For couples getting married in New Jersey, Long Island, or surrounding New York areas (excluding Manhattan), understanding pricing can help set realistic expectations and ensure the right photographer is chosen for the day.
Boutique Studio vs Associate Studio
A boutique wedding photographer is someone who works with you personally from start to finish. They take on fewer weddings so they can give each couple their full attention, help with planning, and create artistic, customized photos.
A high-volume associate studio books a large number of weddings and sends different photographers to each one. You usually don’t meet your photographer until the wedding day, and the experience is more standardized. The biggest difference?
With a boutique photographer, it’s personal. With a high-volume studio, it’s more like a system.

High-End & Luxury Wedding Photography
-
High-end & Luxury pricing for a wedding photographer is $4,000 – $10,000+
-
At this level, couples are booking more than a photographer—they’re investing in a high-touch, highly personalized experience that goes beyond basic coverage. This is common among in-demand, full-time professionals across New Jersey, Long Island, and upscale venues in the Hudson Valley or Westchester.
-
Typically these skilled photographers have won awards in photo competitions and are actively competing.
-
Couples are booking a specialist, where studios that bundle photo, video and other service are volume based studios.
What this tier typically includes: -
Full-day or multi-day wedding coverage
-
Detailed timeline planning, venue walk-throughs, and creative direction
-
Signature editing and advanced retouching, often with a recognizable artistic style
-
Luxury albums, museum-quality wall art, and custom-designed deliverables
-
Direct communication with the lead photographer (no associate substitutions)
-
One-wedding-per-day policy for maximum focus and flexibility
Best suited for: -
Couples who value artistry, want bold and cinematic storytelling, and are seeking an elevated, low-stress experience with premium service and attention to detail.
Final Thoughts
Wedding photography pricing isn’t just about how many hours of coverage are offered—it reflects the photographer’s experience, artistic vision, level of service, and the quality of the final product. Whether the goal is timeless documentation, bold editorial-style portraits, or cinematic storytelling, there’s a photographer and pricing tier to match nearly every vision.
Couples are encouraged to look beyond just the price tag and ask:
-
How involved is the photographer in the planning process?
-
Will my photographer be bringing a team or is it just one person?
-
How many weddings does your photography studio do in a day?
-
Will you help me to create a timeline for my wedding?
-
How quickly does the photography studio respond?
Making an informed choice ensures the memories of the day are captured with intention, care, and artistry.
